Financial Strength Gives Ratepayers Value
The people of the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) take great pride in their District's financial strength and tradition of wise financial management. They know that our strong financial position conserves ratepayer dollars and helps ensure that ratepayers will continue receiving high quality services for years to come. Here are a few key facts about SRCSD finances:
- Our District's substantial reserve balance exceeded $100 million in 2006.
- SRCSD's favorable AA bond rating - equal to the strongest rating of any sanitation agency in the state of California and among the strongest in the nation - allows us to finance capital improvements at the lowest interest rates possible.
This impressive financial strength and sound financial planning have allowed SRCSD to keep its rates competitive.
For those investors who seek detailed financial information, we are happy to make excerpts from SRCSD's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) available in downloadable form. These independently audited financial statements are prepared as part of Sacramento County's required annual single audit. Each CAFR covers a fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the following year.
