Volunteer Docent Training

Become a part of the Bufferlands team by participating in our Volunteer Docent Training! As a volunteer docent, not only do you have the opportunity to participate in the various volunteer service opportunities listed on the Volunteer Opportunities page, but also as a fully trained docent, you will lead or assist with leading tours on the Bufferlands.

The staff is planning for several tours and events throughout the year and is seeking eager volunteers to help. Volunteer Docent training covers Bufferlands history, local wildlife species and ecology, various Bufferlands habitats, wildlife management principles used by our natural resource management team, and more. Docent training begins February 19, 2008 and continues every Tuesday night from 6 pm to 8 pm for the following four weeks and one Saturday for four hours on March 15, 2008.

If you said yes to any of the above, you may want to consider becoming a Bufferlands volunteer.
