Sacramento, Folsom and West Sacramento - collect wastewater, while SRCSD itself conveys (transports) and treats wastewater. Read more about your local and regional sewer districts in this brochure (929K pdf*).
The contributing agencies channel wastewater to SRCSD's interceptor system - more than 90 miles of sewer pipe, some of it large enough to drive a car through. On an average day, our interceptors transport 165 million gallons of wastewater to the Regional Treatment Plant in Elk Grove, California. The Plant is owned and operated by SRCSD.
In addition, SRCSD provides treatment services for a small number of residential customers in Roseville and south Placer County.
