Impact Fees

In order to buy into our wastewater conveyance and treatment system, the building and/or development community pay Impact Fees to connect. Impact Fees are adjusted annually on April 1st; however the costs associated with the new discharge have not yet been factored into Impact Fees. A Rate & Fee Study is currently underway and a new recommended structure will be presented to the Board of Directors in spring 2012 for consideration.

***this fee includes adjustments (authorized by SRCSD Consolidated Ordinance Section 4.03.01) based upon the Engineering News Record - Construction Cost Index (ENR-CCI) and may be different than those adopted in the original Impact Fee Ordinance.

Note: In addition to receiving a Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD) bill, customers will receive a bill from the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) to pay for wastewater treatment and maintenance costs. SASD covers sewer service from your home or business (via what we call the "little pipes") to SRCSD's "Interceptor System" (the "big pipes") that connect to the Sacramento Regional Water Treatment Plant (SRWTP).
