Upper Northwest Interceptor

Part of the Elkhorn Boulevard/Natomas Boulevard Sewer Connection

Upper Northwest Interceptor 1 & 2 work consists of:

  • installation by tunneling methods of approximately 19,280 feet of 144-inch lined, segmental pipe
  • construction of 2 transition structures
  • construction of 21 access manholes
  • connection of 3 existing trunk sewer lines
  • installation of construction shafts and associated tunneling support facilities
