Got Stormwater Drainage Problems? Call 875-RAIN!
Call the County for help. If you notice that storm grates on your street are covered or full of debris, or if you see storm drains backing up during a rain and suspect a blockage, call (916) 875-RAIN or (916) 875-7246. A maintenance crew will investigate the problem, usually within two hours.
Sacramento County's Stormwater Utility District operates and maintains the stormwater system for Citrus Heights and the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County. Even if you're not sure whether you're in our service area, call us. If you're not in our area, we can refer you to someone who can help.
During especially heavy rain, when many stormwater drainage problems are reported, our crews respond to the most critical problems first.
You can help us serve you more quickly if you have this information ready when you call:
- Your street address with cross street
- A brief description of the drainage problem
During flood conditions, it's a good idea to check with neighbors before calling to see if the problem on your street has already been reported. This will help keep our telephone lines clear so that other customers may reach us.
