Odor Management Program

If you live in the Franklin-Laguna area and you wish to report an odor problem
Call (916) 875-9400

Since our Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant began service in 1982, the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) has prided itself on being a good neighbor to the local community.

Our wastewater treatment facilities occupy the central 900 acres of a 3400-acre property near the intersection of Franklin and Laguna Boulevards in southern Sacramento County, California. The remaining 2500 acres of wetlands, grasslands and farmlands serve as a buffer zone between the treatment plant and nearby residential neighborhoods.

Being a good neighbor means keeping our treatment plant invisible to residents' noses! Many of our treatment facilities are covered. Odorous air is channeled through odor removal equipment.

Our staff immediately investigates any odor problems reported. If our facilities are the source of the odor, we take action as quickly as possible.

If you have a specific question or would like additional information about SRCSD's Odor Management Program, please email us at questions@srcsd.com.
